Traditional Democratic campaigns are full of message polling, call time with rich donors, scripted talking points, and obsession with optics. Ours are a little different.

We recruit existing community leaders to run for office who are nominated by members of their own communities — like friends, family, neighbors, & coworkers.

We empower and support our candidates through the entire cycle (even if they’re attacked by high-powered Democratic leaders for running). We help them organize their existing base, build authentic relationships with local leaders, and make sure they hit the pavement themselves.

We raise significant amounts of money through our own grassroots donor base so our candidates have the resources to reach all types of voters in their district. And when they win — like Summer Lee and Greg Casar did just days ago — we support them in their transition to Congress.

And that’s how we grow the Squad cycle after cycle. We challenge the status quo of politics because we know it doesn’t work — so we built a grassroots movement that does.
