Campaigns are expensive, and in the House of Representatives, winning reelection every 2 years means we always have to keep our foot on the gas. Other candidates — including many other Democrats — are able to pay for all of that through taking money from corporate PACs. They spend a ton of their time calling up wealthy donors to ask for big checks to keep things running.
That's not Jamaal. Since day one, we've built a people-powered movement to win progressive representation for the communities of NY-16. Texts and emails like this one are an important way that Jamaal makes sure that he's accountable to you — the people — not big corporate PACs.
