Dear Neighbor,
Representing you and your family in Washington is the honor of my life. With the midterm election season coming to an end, I look forward to continuing our work through the holiday season and into the 118th Congress!
As I head back to Washington, I am reflecting on these last few weeks in the district. Whether it was celebrating our veterans or chatting over coffee, I enjoyed catching up with so many of you. Honoring our veterans
The City of La Mirada’s annual “Salute to Veterans” is a chance to show support for our brave men and women in uniform. I was honored to speak at the event and share how I am fighting to ensure servicemembers get the benefits they have earned and deserve.
I also joined local councilmembers and residents to officially open the new Veterans Resource Center in Pico Rivera. This center will help provide our senior veterans with quality health care, affordable housing, and much more.
“Coffee with the Congresswoman”
Thank you to everyone who joined me for “Coffee with the Congresswoman” in Whittier and La Mirada. I always enjoy hearing your thoughts on the issues that matter—and I look forward to bringing them back with me to Washington!
Delivering funding to help us secure clean water
For the last 60 years, Water Replenishment District (WRD) has ensured our communities can rely on safe and sustainable groundwater.
I recently delivered over $15 million to WRD—funding that will help support their critical work for decades to come.
Supporting our small businesses
Finally, I joined the La Mirada Chamber of Commerce, local small business owners, and City officials for breakfast.
We discussed what's happening in Washington, including how we can bring down costs for families and ensure small businesses in California have the resources they need to thrive.
It was a busy few weeks in SoCal, to be sure!
As always, I am thankful for your continued support, and I look forward to the great things we can accomplish together in the new year.
Sincerely,
Linda T. Sánchez Member of Congress
