Today, Speaker Nancy Pelosi passed the torch of Democratic leadership, announcing that she will not be seeking a leadership post in the next Congress.

For two decades, Nancy Pelosi, the first and only female Speaker of the House, united the Democratic Party in Congress and championed the legislation that has helped to define the party for the past twenty years.
