Deer hunters reminded to follow four key safety rules

White-tailed buck

Several days remain in the November firearm season, and safety remains as important as ever. Keep yourself and your hunting party safe with these guidelines:

  • Treat every firearm as if it is loaded;

  • Keep your finger outside of the trigger guard until you are ready to fire.

Following these four rules greatly reduces the risk of causing a hunting incident. Read on for additional tips about tree stand safety.
