Although we didn’t get the outcome we wanted, we came much closer than our critics expect. That success is due in large part to YOU.

Thank you for every dime you donated. Everyone including our max donors and those who sent $25 checks attached to prayerful notes made a difference.

Thank you for every second that you spent wearing my t-shirt, walking/driving in parades, sign waving, door knocking, standing at the polls, and talking to your friends and neighbors about me. A special thanks to my campaign manager, Chelsea, who was doing all of the above while 8 months pregnant! I appreciate everything you all did.

We’re now taking time to regroup as a family and celebrate the holidays, and I hope you’re able to do the same. Thanks to you, we have a lot to be proud of and a lot to look forward to.

I firmly believe that a loss is an opportunity to learn, and we’re going to do just that. We will come back stronger, because our work is not done yet. This state and this country are still worth fighting for.
