What this means for care.

John,

The midterm elections results have been called. Republicans will control the House and Democrats will keep control of the Senate, with the Georgia run-off determining how big their majority will be.

Now it’s time to get back to work. With care costs at an all-time high, the stakes are high. We have a lot of momentum going into 2023 but it’s going to take all of us to push every elected to act on care — no matter their party.

Tell the new Congress now: Any elected leaders who are serious about moving this country forward will make sweeping care legislation their top priority in 2023. We'll deliver your petition signature to the Capitol when the new Congress starts work in 2023 to make sure they hear us.

You deserve more than a crumbling care system that doesn’t work. No one should have to sit on waiting lists for months or years to try and get the care they need or work a second job to afford that care.

You deserve more than politics that try to divide us and leave women — particularly aging and disabled Black women — behind.

You deserve policies that allow you to make the best choices for yourself and your family. Whether it’s access to abortions or affordable child care, the ability to live in the dignity of your own home, or a job that gives you time off when you're sick regardless of your race, income level, and gender.

The more of us who rise up for bipartisan solutions and band together to fight bad bills, the closer we’ll get to winning the care system we need in this country.

Join us in telling the new Congress that investing in care is essential for our country.

Our country is one of the wealthiest countries in history. We shouldn’t have to work 2 or 3 jobs to make ends meet or be in a perpetual state of uncertainty when it comes to caring for ourselves and our family.

Let’s honor the essential work of our caregivers by fighting like hell for equal access to the care we all need. A better future is within reach.

Winning investments in care now depends on us,
