Last Tuesday’s election was a testament to the will of the American people. Across the country votes were cast to protect reproductive rights and strike down Trumpian ideology, but our work is far from over.
On Monday, Richmond City Council voted to approve my administration’s proposed new city sound ordinance. In addition to protecting places of worship and schools, this new policy was specifically designed to protect healthcare facilities – including ones that provide abortions.
Too long these clinics have faced vile and emboldened harassment, and every step we can take to reduce that is a win in my book.
