At Health Poverty Action and Find Your Feet we believe that if you empower women, you empower everyone.

We work alongside women to demand social equality and health justice. Standing with women across the globe as they fight for economic independence, decent healthcare, freedom from gender-based violence* and much more.

That is why we are launching our Women's Empowerment Appeal.

Globally, 1 in 3 women experience gender-based violence (WHO, 2021). We work with women to rebuild their lives after traumatising experiences.

In Rwanda, we provide skills training, business start-up capital and support for women to establish community savings schemes. We provide an environment where women who have had similar experiences, can come together to heal. By working together, women are able to improve their social positions within their communities.

We also stand with women by advocating for change at the global level. Our policy and campaigns team consider gender in everything they do. They address the inequalities women face in so many areas.

Whether it is the disproportionate criminalisation of women for drug offences, the additional burden they experienced during the pandemic, or the pressures on women’s mental health, we push for gender justice across the board.

Women should have control over their own lives and futures. For too many, this is not their reality.

Health Poverty Action supports women who are fighting for gender justice. Whether this be the right to healthcare, health education, autonomy over their own bodies, freedom to exist without being attacked or the right to thrive in society as an equal human being.

We will continue to act in solidarity with women across the globe who are facing the worst kinds of exclusion and mistreatment.
