My friend Rev. Raphael Warnock needs your help today, John.
I first met Rev. Warnock during his days as a Pastor in Baltimore. He was a force for good in our community from the day I met him, and in the time since, he’s been a mentor and a friend. I was honored to join him as a guest preacher last fall at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta.
Like me, Rev. Warnock is no political insider or career politician: he’s the son of two Georgia preachers who's committed his life to service, serving as Senior Pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church, the former pulpit of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Today, Rev. Warnock is the sitting U.S. Senator from Georgia who first won this critical seat during a 2020 special election that ended in a runoff. His victory helped Democrats retake the Senate and make historic progress, including passing the American Rescue Plan and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
While Rev. Warnock received more votes than his opponent in this November’s election, neither candidate received 50 percent of the vote. Now, after a neck-and-neck race for re-election, he’s going to a runoff yet again this December in order to save his seat and keep making progress for the people.
Rev. Warnock is in the fight of his life, and it will determine whether or not the Democratic majority will have a 51st vote to continue making progress, or be dragged down by gridlock.
Let’s keep Rev. Warnock working to lift up the people of Georgia and move our country forward: split a contribution between our campaigns today to help him win on December 6!
