John,
Since I co-founded this organization with Pamela Merritt in 2015, Reproaction has had the goal of giving abortion a permanent seat at the progressive table.
Want to see it there? Give now.
I’m not going to lie; it has been a bit of an uphill battle. We’ve had years of progressive leaders refusing to say the word abortion, talking about abortion using harmful and stigmatizing language, and consistently trying to sideline abortion as a fringe or niche issue when the truth is that reproductive rights are human rights, and reproductive justice champions gender and racial equality.
Reproductive justice connects these threads and it is what everyone should be fighting for.
Over the years, Reproaction has prided itself on holding leaders’ feet to the fire, calling them out for harms they caused, and helping to move the needle on how abortion is spoken about among powerful people.
The results of the 2022 midterms are not a fluke. They prove what we’ve known all along: Abortion wins. [1]
We are thrilled to see abortion being protected, but we are also ready to fight for more. Like we’ve said since our founding: we want to increase access to abortion.
Donate now to help us reach our goal of $2,500 by November 29.
Sincerely,
Erin Matson
Executive Director, Reproaction
P.S. Roe fell. Let’s fight. Give today.
