New Census Report Ranks Arizona Third-Fastest Growing State
Arizona ranked third in percentage growth rate in 2019, according to estimates released this week by U.S. Census Bureau. With a nearly 1.7 percent growth from July 2018 to July 2019, Arizona jumped from 4th to 3rd-highest rate of growth in the nation.
Governor Ducey Announces Medal Of Valor Recipients
The Arizona Medal of Valor recognizes heroic public safety officials who demonstrated extraordinary acts of valor, courage and heroism. The honorees were selected by a review board made up of law enforcement and public safety professionals.

"Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper Tyler Edenhofer was one of four people to receive a Medal of Valor, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey announced on Monday. Edenhofer was killed in the line of duty in July last year while responding to a call of a man throwing rocks on Interstate 10 in Avondale."
Arizona Recognizes Human Trafficking Prevention Month
Throughout January, the Arizona State Capitol Dome will be lit blue in recognition of Human Trafficking Prevention Month. As part of the awareness campaign, Arizona and partnering organizations will provide training to recognize trafficking, support child victims and more.

In 2019, Arizona continued to strengthen collaboration, economic growth and trade with its neighbors in Mexico, especially Sonora. The Arizona-Mexico Commission, which works to improve the economic prosperity and quality of life for all Arizonans, in 2019 celebrated its 60th anniversary.
