John,
Big news: the Senate is getting ready to officially vote on the Respect for Marriage Act.
The Respect for Marriage Act will protect marriage equality for millions of Americans. It will permanently guarantee that people in same-sex or interracial marriages have the same rights and freedoms as every other marriage.
The Respect for Marriage Act passed in the House this summer, but now the Senate is getting ready to vote on it. Add your name now to show support for this bill and help pass this legislation.

If the Supreme Court already legalized same-sex and interracial marriages, why do we need to pass the Respect for Marriage Act? The Supreme Court can overturn decisions. Codifying marriage equality is the best way to ensure these rights.
We saw the importance of codifying your rights and freedoms when Roe was overturned earlier this year. In that decision, the right-wing Justices set the groundwork to potentially eliminate marriage equality next.
Passing the Respect for Marriage Act will give the millions of same-sex and interracial couples the certainty that they will continue to enjoy the freedoms, rights, and responsibilities that all other marriages enjoy.
Sign our petition now and tell the Senate to pass the Respect for Marriage Act.
