In honor of Native American Heritage Month, we’re highlighting how policies and practices can support Indigenous communities nationwide.
Last year, Urban staff visited the Rosebud Sioux Tribe and witnessed how the tribe’s efforts to prioritize Lakota culture fueled its economic development strategies. With assistance from the US Economic Development Administration, the tribe’s economic development arm is working to create new jobs and promote opportunity while connecting community through culture.
