Mike Frosolone here, Cory’s state director here in Iowa. As I write to you, the Iowa caucus is right around the corner. As of today, we’re exactly a month away from the night that caucus-goers throughout our state will officially begin the 2020 Democratic primary process.

We’re putting ourselves in the best possible position to win when caucus night rolls around on February 3rd. But, we could still use some extra help to really put us over the top.

We’re going to need all the resources we can get for precinct captains as they organize their neighborhoods. It’s important that our organizers have the supplies they need to knock on doors and turn out Iowans to caucus for Cory Booker. I’d love to make sure that our volunteers have extra phones to call supporters as well as transportation to get around the state (and it’s always great to be able to buy them pizza as a thank you for their hard work, too!).

When we say that this is an underdog campaign, we mean it. We don’t have the financial advantages of some of the other candidates in this race, like the self-funding billionaires. That means we have to make the most of what we have.

We’re very proud of the fact that we’re considered to have one of the best campaign operations in the entire state. The organizers on our staff embody the spirit of “hope, hype, hustle,” which has become our motto here on the Iowa team.

We’ve also racked up a ton of endorsements from prominent local elected leaders and community activists -- which will be incredibly important come caucus night. I’m confident that we’re in a strong position, but we still have more work to do.

This is a team worth investing in. I think our underdog campaign is going to surprise a lot of people.
