I want to make sure you saw the good news!

At the end of election day, the race to represent House District 15 was too
close to call - and our Democratic representative, Marvin Weatherwax, was down
by just 11 votes.Well, after Democrats worked to cure ballots, and provisional
votes were counted Monday afternoon, I am thrilled to report that Marvin has
won by 26 votes! I am so proud and happy that we are sending an incredible,
experienced, Native legislator back to Helena to represent his community.

While we waited for the provisional ballots to be counted, in between
refreshing the website every 2 minutes, I was thinking a lot about the
importance of each and every vote. In a race like this, and so many others this
cycle that were won by 100 votes or less, it is easy to see the massive impact
that each of us can make by exercising our right to have our voices heard.

It also makes me think about the importance of each and every dollar spent to
support our candidates. Your contributions, whether you gave one dollar or one
thousand dollars, allowed us to pay the salaries of organizers working in
Marvin’s district, to cover expenses for folks driving voters to the polls, to
sponsor feeds in communities across HD 15, gathering voters in support of
Marvin, and so much more.

It took absolutely all of this to get Marvin across the finish line, and it is
not an exaggeration to say we would not have been able to do it without each
and every one of you. I am so grateful.
