Democrat of the Year is an individual who has stood out as a champion for building and growing the Democratic Party in Colorado, advocating for values and causes we believe in and helped make a mark on the State of Colorado.

Volunteer of the Year is a standout individual who has dedicated time and talent to doing the work of the Democratic Party through regular unpaid volunteer work that makes a difference.  This individual is someone who has taken on an unusually high number of tasks or has reliably given their time over a significant amount of time.

The Rural Outreach Award is for an individual who has gone above and beyond to help the Democratic Party build and strengthen rural outreach relationships with diverse communities across Colorado.

Murphy Roberts Award is an award for a young volunteer of the year – for a young individual under the age of 25 who has shown commitment and dedication to the values of the Colorado Democratic Party.

The Outreach Award is for an individual who has gone above and beyond to help the Democratic Party build and strengthen outreach relationships with diverse communities across Colorado.

Rising Star Award is for an individual who has hit the ground running, demonstrating a true commitment to the future of the Colorado Democratic Party.  This is a person, elected or not, who is a mover and shaker and we should expect to see more from in the future.

Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes someone who has stood out as a lifelong champion for building and growing the Democratic Party in Colorado.  This person has shown staying power in their leadership and commitment to advancing our Democratic values.

Marguerite Salazar Community Service Award  should go to someone who supports the democratic party who also lives the values of the party through ongoing community and public service that touches people’s lives in a direct way.  The recipient should reflect the selfless approach to caring for other people who face hardship.

• At a baseline, we are even in U.S. Senate races, with possible net of +1. That is either the best for a Dem POTUS since 1998 (depending on GA runoff) or best since 1962 (depending on GA runoff).
• We are on track to lose the fewest House seats of a Dem President in their first midterm since 1962.
• We netted three Governors’ mansions. That is the best midterm result for an incumbent president since 1986. Even George W Bush, in his historically great 2002 midterm following 9/11, lost one Republican governor.
• Democrats flipped three state legislative chambers (MI House, MI Senate, MN Senate). For the first time since 1934, the President’s party didn’t lose a single state legislative chamber at midterm.
