Folks,

The government has no business deciding who you can marry. That’s why when the Senate voted to advance the Respect for Marriage Act today, I was proud to vote yes.

It’s high time we codify the right to same-sex marriage into law — especially because the Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade earlier this year specifically mentioned Obergefell v. Hodges , the decision that ensured marriage equality for all, as a case that should be revisited.

In this country, we should never discriminate based on who you love or choose to marry. That’s why I hope you’ll join me in loudly voicing your support for the Respect for Marriage Act by adding your name now:
