You may have heard by now – but Donald Trump is officially running for President again.

During his announcement, unsurprisingly, his speech was riddled with inaccuracies, over exaggerations, and just a complete disregard for the democratic institutions we as Americans hold so dear.

Folks, as part of the impeachment team that successfully impeached Donald Trump after he incited an insurrection at the Capitol – I am very aware of how far he is willing to go to accumulate and keep power.

America simply cannot go through another Trump presidency. Our country needs to move forward, continue to heal, and more importantly, deliver for the American people.

That’s why it’s so important we’re doing everything we can right now to stop him from taking the White House.

That’s why we need to support Rev. Warnock in Georgia and reinforce the guardrail against extremism the Senate will be in the next Congress.

That’s why I will continue to fight in the House and hold Trump enablers accountable for their actions.

As the dust continues to settle on a disastrous midterm election for Republicans, and while my Democratic colleagues continue to hold the line against Trump’s cronies in the Senate, my team and I in the House are dutifully preparing to stand up to Donald and his GOP enablers.
