Yes, I Have Already Decorated For Christmas
[[link removed]]
I haven’t even braved the grocery store for Thanksgiving pie supplies yet, and
Katie Bingham-Smith’s house is already decorated for Christmas… and has been for
days. And she doesn’t care what you think about it, either.

“The older I get, the sooner I decorate,” she writes. “My three teenagers don’t
get excited like they used to and don’t really like to help me turn the house
into a snow globe, but I don’t care. I turn up the Christmas classics and go
about my business anyway. I love putting some mirrored disco balls on the mantle
and hanging the fuzzy stockings, and there are always twinkling lights wherever
I can make them work.”

Where do you fall on the spectrum between “not a day before the Friday after
Thanksgiving” and “sure, why NOT start in July”? Let us know via email:

I Was Pushed Into Inducing Because It Was A Holiday. Never Again.
[[link removed]]
“I was due with my first baby on Christmas,” writes Alexandra Frost. “When he
didn’t come, for five more long days, my OBGYN asked if I wanted to be induced.
It was barely the first time I’d heard the word, let alone considered the
decision. Without any more explanation, or considerations of the risks or
rewards, she raised her eyebrows awaiting my answer. I hesitated.” Years later,
here’s what she wishes she knew then.
