Like the rest of the world, we at CODEPINK are reeling with heartbreak and fear about Trump’s escalation of the conflict with Iran. But we are not taking this sitting down. We are mobilizing and in less than 48 hours, we now have a great coalition and a list of over 30 cities that will be holding protests tomorrow, Saturday!  Please join in the day of rage against Trump’s latest move towards war with Iran, and take this pledge to work with us in the coming weeks and months to help build a robust, kick-ass movement to BRING OUR TROOPS HOME FROM THE MIDDLE EAST AND MAKE PEACE WITH IRAN! Yesterday, on sovereign Iraqi territory and without consulting Congress, Trump ordered the assassination of Iranian military General Qassim Soleimani — a man who had a popularity rating in Iran of over 80% because of his successful fight against ISIS. The Iranian government has called the attack an act of war and pledged “harsh revenge.” And who will bear the brunt of the blowback? The people of the Middle East, who are already ravaged by two decades of war initiated by George Bush, and U.S. troops, who have also suffered from two decades of war.

We must stop this madness!!! 

Head out in the streets tomorrow, grab a poster from our toolkit, and add your name to pledge to be active in the coming weeks and months to demand that the U.S. reverse course and make peace with Iran.

Let’s be clear. This is not about Iranian aggression — this is about TRUMP’s aggression. Trump pulled out of the Iran nuclear deal and created this crisis. And we, the people, must stop him. We must be in the streets and the suites — pushing our Congress to take action. We must build ties with peace-loving people around the globe. We must make it clear that we are SICK AND TIRED of lying, warmongering leaders squandering our lives and our resources on senseless wars!!!
