CCL has been able to accomplish a lot in the climate realm this year,
thanks to our volunteers. Your hard work, dedication, and donations
helped set the stage for the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, and
have made the potential passage of several more climate policies during
Congress' lame duck session a possibility. Thank you so much for all of
your support.
As we enter a season of gratitude, you can help push CCL-backed climate
solutions across the finish line and give us a strong start in the new
year.
Giving Tuesday is right around the corner – Nov. 29 – and now you have
the opportunity to double your impact! The first $350,000 in donations
received on or before Giving Tuesday will be matched dollar-for-dollar,
thanks to a matching pool provided by a group of Climate Guardian
donors. Give soon, and your dollar can go even further to mobilize even
more dedicated citizen lobbyists in support of bipartisan climate

refreshed way. Now is a perfect time to hand over the reins to Kesten,
who is more than capable, as you all know!" We'll miss you Amy! You can

CCL tables with conservatives at outdoor event
In South Carolina this past September, CCLers tabled at the National
Hunting and Fishing Day event, which attracted a largely conservative
crowd.
"South Carolina is a very conservative state. We're always thinking
about how to welcome more conservatives into our chapters and encourage
them to come to lobby meetings," said Charlotte Ward, CCL State and
Local Media Coordinator who also volunteers as a group co-leader for the
Greenville chapter.
Charlotte, accompanied by her chapter co-lead Constantine Khripin,
volunteer Lauraleigh Bush, and fellow chapter members John Beckerle and
Bill Harclerode, set up a table at the event with a posterboard.
The posterboard depicted the Yale Program on Climate Change
Communication study graph of belief and concern regarding climate
change. Lauraleigh noted that most participants seemed to be concerned
about climate change.
"Cautious was the most common response, but the overall trend was that
people were concerned about climate change," she says. "So the first
three dots on the chart got the most pins, which I felt was really
encouraging."
