On the night of February 3rd, the first night of the 2020 presidential nominating process, eyes across the country will be on Iowa -- so a win on February 3rd has the power to prove our viability on a national scale. It will show voters everywhere that we’re not just a remarkable underdog story -- we have what it takes to win, and we intend to.

When we look to history, we see that candidates who started their races as clear underdogs have won in Iowa -- and then gone on to win their party’s nomination. In fact, we don’t have to look too far back to find an example of a young man with an unusual name, sometimes scoffed at for his lack of Washington experience, win Iowa against all predictions -- and then, of course, the Presidency.

If we work as hard as we can for the next month, and if we win Iowa, we will use it as a template for success in the other early states -- and, eventually, in Super Tuesday states and beyond. With each win, our momentum will continue to grow. But none of it will be possible if we don’t succeed in Iowa. 

Since I first announced my candidacy for President, this campaign has been growing rapidly -- but now, with just one month until this first contest, we are just as rapidly running out of time.
