Donald Trump has officially announced that he will run for president in 2024. 

If this were a joke, we could let out a slight laugh, roll our eyes, and say a few not-so kind words under our breath. But it’s not a joke. He took the podium at Mar-A-Lago and made the case to the American people for his destruction of our democracy. That means we have a problem.

Even with major midterm losses, Trump and his cronies aren’t taking their foot off the gas pedal. In Georgia, GOP candidate and serial abortion hypocrite Herschel Walker barely trailed Raphael Warnock. They’re headed for a runoff, and I hate to say it, but Walker has a real chance of becoming the state’s next senator.

There is good news though. We have the power right now to hit the brakes and stop a Trump-endorsed candidate in his tracks. In two clicks, sign up to write letters to unlikely voters in Georgia and let them know how critical this race is to rebuking Trump’s MAGA agenda.

Americans banded together to stop a Trump-led MAGA takeover in state and national races in this year’s midterms, and we should be proud of what we accomplished. 

You think after that, Trump would get the picture, right? 

Apparently not. His announcement makes it clear that our work to defend our democracy isn’t over.
