Hi Friend,
I just landed in Washington, D.C. and wanted to share an important update. I’m here because today I have a special opportunity to join other DACA recipients and Dreamers at the White House and on the Hill to share our stories and advocate for permanent protections. We’re advocating alongside many hundreds of others who came to Washington DC this week on behalf of DACA recipients, Dreamers, for our families, and for our communities everywhere.
We’re here to make our presence known and connect with Congress as people who will be impacted if Congress fails to pass permanent protections for DACA recipients and Dreamers before the end of the year. We know what is possible when all of us come together.
Will you join us from wherever you are by calling your senator RIGHT NOW and telling them to pass permanent protections for DACA recipients and Dreamers before the end of the year?
Every person here with me — and every DACA recipient and Dreamer across the country — has their own story. Individuals coming here today are teachers, healthcare workers, and small business owners. They’re students, parents, and siblings. They’re integral to their communities — communities they’ve spent their whole lives serving — in so many varied ways.
But unfortunately, in the wake of the Fifth Circuit’s decision that DACA is unlawful, I am at risk and we’re all at risk of losing our protections, potentially being pushed out of the workplace, cruelly separated from our families, and so much more.
Only Congress can prevent this economic and moral crisis. We need you to stand with us now. Will you call your senator and tell them they must pass permanent protections for DACA recipients and Dreamers this year?
Thanks for joining us. No matter how many people are in this room, we're stronger with you advocating with us. It means the world to know how many people are supporting us across the country.
More updates soon!
