Hey John,
Last week we wrote to you about Fight’s post-election plans. The biggest takeaway is that when it comes to passing anything in Congress, we’re by no means cleared for any easy wins.
But we have a strategy to ensure we win in 2023. We’re doubling down on our creative grassroots activism to build people power, amplify your voices, and expand our reach to make things happen.
We’ve gone up against the most powerful interests for the last 10 years and we we will keep fighting to win: flooding phone lines, building tools to help you contact decision makers from your local city council to agencies like the FCC, flying blimps and planes, and driving “Chuck Trucks” around the country to show that people want and need responsible, human rights-centered tech policy.[1] But all this does take money. Will you please donate now to keep Fight running in 2023 and beyond?

Hi John,
We’ll be up front. We’re reaching out today to ask you to donate: Will you support Fight for the Future in 2023? Here’s why your support is so critical:
Although the dust is still settling from the midterms, one thing is certain: the stakes of its outcome in the coming year could not be higher. With Congress likely to be gridlocked in 2023, we can’t rely on the legislative process to get work done. We need to double down on what we do best: grassroots and collective organizing to drive progress and change. You can learn all about our post-election 2023 plan here.
We need your support. Despite being a small and scrappy team (10 full time employees), we have a track record of outsized results. It takes resources to pressure the most powerful companies and institutions to do the right thing. Without resistance, Big Tech, telecom giants, and other bad actors will freely undermine open internet access and subject people to increasingly exploitative surveillance. If you believe in a future where tech offers opportunity and expression, rather than oppression, join the fight now.
