John, Trump just announced he's running for president again in 2024.
We're not surprised -- and we came prepared.
We helped lead the voter protection movement that beat Trump in 2020 in Georgia, when no one thought the state would flip blue. We're building on that work now as Power the Vote. And the best part is, we're just getting started.
Here at Power the Vote, planning for the long term is in our DNA. And in fact, it's the whole reason we exist. Every investment we made in voter protection staff this year was done not just for the 2022 cycle, but always with an eye towards 2024 and beyond.
Now, the most important thing we can do is make sure that we build on the gains we made in 2022. We can't win if we start over from scratch every two years. Instead, we have to use the most important resource we have -- which is time -- to lay the groundwork for the presidential year.
The fact is, the real work begins now, when the campaigns go home. That's when we advocate for reforms that make it easier for voters to vote. That's when we fight voter suppression bills and voter purges. That's when we organize and build a movement of like-minded activists, like you, who are ready to stand up and fight for voters.

In 2020, we ran the Democratic Party’s Voter Protection Program in Georgia, when the state flipped blue for the first time in nearly 30 years.
We pioneered a new model of voter protection, built on sustained investments and long-lasting relationships.
Now, we’re building on that success and adapting the Georgia model to fight voter suppression in other states.
