Hi John,
Conversations about climate change are everywhere right now. The U.N. Climate Change Conference (COP27) is happening in Egypt, and there’s also a steady stream of news about climate disasters like hurricanes, floods, droughts, and fires.

At Ipas, we are committed to promoting women-led climate justice ([link removed]) —meaning that the people most affected by climate change must play a leading role in finding solutions and building a climate-resilient world.

We’re also proving that response efforts after a climate disaster can and should include sexual and reproductive health care—including abortion and contraception. In Pakistan, for example, Ipas is providing this essential health care ([link removed]) to tens of thousands of women impacted by the historic flooding across the country.

I invite you to join the conversation with us:
* On Instagram, you can help educate your community with this resource: 4 ways climate change impacts reproductive health ([link removed]) .
* On Twitter, you can listen to our Twitter space—Delivering a gender-responsive COP27 for people and the planet ([link removed]) —which featured voices from around the world.

Ensuring women’s voices are at the center of the world’s response to climate change is no easy task. We’re hard at work building programs—and supporting community-based partners—to make women-led climate justice a reality. Stay tuned for more updates on this soon!

In solidarity,

Cecilia
