After learning that Donald Trump announced he is once again running for president, I want to make one thing clear: my commitment to protecting our democracy from Trump’s extremism remains of the utmost importance.

During his four years in office, Trump enabled and incited acts of political violence, violated his sacred Oath of Office, and undermined our democracy countless times. And the antics didn’t end after he left the White House. He has never been, and will never be, fit to serve.

Since holding him accountable in 2020 by voting him out of office, we’ve spent the past two years working to undo Trump’s mess and protect our democracy from his election-denying allies, and our work is far from over.

I will not stand by while Trump looks to take us backward and undermine our democracy once again. But I can’t do this on my own, so I hope that you will join me in standing up to Trump and all that he stands for by chipping in a donation today:

The GOP made it clear that they have no interest in standing up for our democracy when they stood by Donald Trump, denied the results of the 2020 election, and spread far-right conspiracies.

We can only assume that in the coming months, they will do whatever it takes to power his efforts to win re-election in 2024.

The road ahead will be tough, but I am up for the challenge. Let’s continue to defend our democracy and stand tall for our shared values.
