FIRST: Political experts predicted a far-right takeover, saying Democrats should have expected major losses in the November midterms last week. 

THEN: Emerge women stepped up to prove them wrong by WINNING up and down the ballot and building our movement for real and lasting progress. Arizona Governor-elect Katie Hobbs and Congresswomen-elect Emilia Sykes and Val Hoyle all just defeated MAGA Republican candidates.

BUT NOW: Donald Trump just announced he’s running for president – again – at the worst possible time for our movement. 

We know the GOP’s playbook is to ride Trump’s momentum, rile up his base, and power their extremist candidates to victory. Trump’s official announcement is the spark they’ve ALL been waiting for. That means our strategy to support and empower Democratic women could be in SERIOUS DANGER.
