In 1 Samuel, the giant warrior Goliath challenged the Israelite army to send a champion to fight. The Israelites, including their king, were frozen with fear.
So, no one goes... except for the boy David.
David slings a stone at the giant warrior’s head and it knocks him down.
This was a shocking development since Goliath was the Philistines’ legendary war hero. But David does not stop there.
What did he do next?
David unsheathed a sword, approached the giant, and killed him. Even then it was not time to head home. The Philistines fled from the battlefront and the Israelites pursued them to secure their victory.
