Right now, our freedom to vote is under attack. Voter ID laws prevent or intimidate millions of eligible Americans from casting a ballot that counts. 

VoteRiders is working nationwide to ensure that all voters have the ID education and assistance they need to vote with confidence. But we can’t do it alone, nor can we wait until election season. 

Unlike some other organizations that gear up only around major elections, our work takes place year-round. To be as effective as we need to be, we need to work every single day, and well AHEAD of elections, to get folks the ID they need to vote.

Since 2020, a wave of new, strict voter ID laws have gone into effect and we anticipate even more leading up to the 2024 presidential election. New and changing voter ID laws confuse voters and jeopardize their ability to make their voices heard at the ballot box.

These voter ID laws present a challenge for millions of eligible voters, but they impact some more than others. 

Black, elderly, and young Americans are less likely to have a current, unexpired, government-issued photo ID. Also among the 11% of Americans without a valid ID are the millions of women who may not have an ID that reflects the name they used when they registered to vote because they changed their names due to marriage or divorce.

We believe that every eligible American has the right to make their voice heard at the polls. If you agree, chip in now to fuel our efforts in the Georgia runoff election and ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
