Team, the results are in, and I am so proud to be your Congresswoman-elect! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to our volunteers, our donors, and the voters of Oregon’s 6th district for making this campaign possible. I am so grateful and humbled to have you on Team Salinas. We couldn’t have done this without your support.

Together, we were able to fight for a stable democracy that protects our civil liberties, an economy that is just and equitable and a country where women have the freedom to to make their own abortion care decisions. We’ve come together to take bold action and give the greatest gift to our children and grandchildren, where we stop talking about a clean energy future and provide a clean energy present.

It is this future that I have worked for my entire adult life. It is the vision for that future that we have all worked for on this campaign and that I will take to Congress.

My dad came to the United States from Mexico in 1950 and worked in the fields picking cotton and tomatoes before he was in the first grade. It's my family's story that made me believe change is possible in a single generation – but only if we work for it. I can’t promise that change will come easily. But I can promise that, no matter what lies ahead, I will be your champion – always. It’s the honor of my lifetime to be your Congresswoman-elect.

You, along with all of my other supporters, have built our people-powered campaign, and I am so incredibly proud to have you on my team. This is just the beginning of our work together.
