In one of our most important midterm election years yet, Washington Democrats won up and down the ticket. We the people re-elected Derek. We helped defend the Democratic Senate majority by re-electing Senator Patty Murray. We flipped Washington's 3rd District BLUE when Marie Gluesenkamp Pérez defeated her opponent. And we defended Dr. Kim Schrier's vulnerable House seat.
So, while the House majority is still to be determined, one thing remains clear: Democrats' message of protecting our democracy, saving our planet, defending reproductive rights, and fighting for our values resonated with the American people.
Derek is proud of the grassroots team that made these victories possible. No matter what happens with the Democratic House majority, we have to keep up this momentum.
