Centre for Mental Health news

November 2022

Sarah Hughes smiling in front of windowHello from Sarah!

Dear friends,

First off, I'm delighted to share that, following my departure in December, the brilliant Andy Bell will be stepping in as the Centre's Interim Chief Executive until a permanent one is appointed. There is so much on the Centre's horizon in the months to come and I'm so pleased that Andy will be leading this small but mighty organisation through its next chapter!

At this time of crisis in the nation’s mental health we cannot afford cuts to mental health services. We're urging Jeremy Hunt to protect mental health funding in his Budget on Thursday. Add your voice by
emailing your MP.

With Cop27 drawing to a close this week, our Senior Researcher Nick
shares reflections on the intersection of climate change, racism and mental health.

If you work in mental health services, be sure to check out our new good practice guide on integrated working between the NHS and voluntary sector.

Take care,

Sarah
