[1]Ayanna Pressley
Today marks one year since I was sworn in to Congress to represent
my
neighbors in Massachusetts’ 7th District.
It has been quite a year. With your support, our movement has continued to
grow — we have shown our strength, we have held this Administration
accountable, and we have made real progress on so many important issues.

our movement even more.

When several states passed draconian laws restricting reproductive rights,
we rallied on the steps of the Supreme Court. I co-sponsored the Green New
Deal, because our climate is in crisis and we need to take bold action.
When the occupant of the White House put his interests before those of the
American people, I called for his impeachment. All of this was only
possible because of your support and your partnership.
We have made it our mission to take on the institutionalized racism,
economic oppression, and social injustice that has created deep inequities
in the Massachusetts’ 7th, and in communities around the country.
That’s why I introduced the People’s Justice Guarantee, to advance a bold,
progressive vision of what our criminal INjustice system could look like
if we center shared power and human dignity. It’s why we’ve fought to make
safe, affordable housing a human right, and to end discriminatory banking
practices.
And we have put those closest to the pain, closest to the power. We’ve
fought for survivors and the rights of low-wage workers. We’ve held Equity
Agenda town halls across the 7th District and made sure that we carry the
voices of everyone in our communities to the halls of power in Washington.
I was elected with a mandate for hope — to resist the cruel and draconian
policies of this Administration, but also to listen, collaborate, and work
to make real progress on issues of consequence to the people of the MA-7.
And this movement for justice and equity is only possible because of your
support, your advocacy, your activism. So thank you for being a part of this
last year with me.

in $3 today to show your support for what we’ve
accomplished together over the last year.
At this moment in our nation’s history, I am right where I feel like I
should be: in Congress, fighting alongside you to make progress for our
communities and hold this administration accountable.
I am looking forward to continuing this fight together over the course of
this next year.
In Solidarity,
Ayanna Pressley
