Ready for SBL / AAR

I’m packing my bags for Colorado, ready to attend (for the first time) the jointly held annual meetings of the Society of Biblical Literature (SBL) and the American Academy of Religion (AAR). I don’t know what to expect, but I’m thrilled to connect with so many of our readers and writers. If you’ll be there, please let me know ahead of time—or just stop by the Century’s booth!

Our content this week comes in two categories: books, book, books from our November books issue, and two new pieces about Palestine/Israel. As for books, we have a primer on recommended texts in practical theology, along with a review of Pamela Cooper-White’s book about Christian nationalism.
