women by awarding small grants for innovative projects. One
organization in Kinshasa is using its grant to turn household waste
into organic fertilizer that women can use in their own gardens or
sell to others to help support their families.

project to train women in Myanmar to serve as mental health peer
counselors.

Carter Center to Observe Tunisia's Elections

The mission will observe and examine key aspects of the electoral
process, including the pre-electoral environment, voter registration,
candidate registration, social media, campaigning, and campaign
finance. The team also will follow the post-election process,
including any legal challenges to the results.

Since 2013, The Carter Center and the University of La Sabana in
Bogotá, Colombia, have awarded two fellowships for journalism
projects that shed light on mental health issues and help end stigma.

observers to Fulton County, Georgia, to observe the 2022 midterm

Blinding Trachoma Match Met
[link removed]
Thanks to support like yours, the special match to end blinding
trachoma in Mali and Niger has been met. Mali now is seeking official
validation from the World Health Organization that it is free of
trachoma as a public health problem, and Niger's efforts remain
on track toward the same outcome.
