Dear John,
Economic freedom — the ability of individuals to make their own economic decisions about what to buy, where to work and whether to start a business — remains fundamental to prosperity.
A new report published by the Fraser Institute today analyzes economic freedom in all 50 U.S. states, 32 Mexican states and 10 Canadian provinces. It finds that for the first time, every province in Canada now resides in the lower half of North America’s economic freedom rankings.
Perhaps most shocking is Alberta. After seven straight years atop the rankings, Alberta fell from top spot four years ago and this year tied for 47th place.
See where the other provinces placed here [[link removed]], and be sure to share this news with your friends and colleagues.
Sincerely,
Niels Veldhuis
