Democrats,

Last week was a historic week for Michigan Democrats:

  • Governor Whitmer, Lt. Governor Gilchrist, Secretary of State Benson, and Attorney General Nessel will serve Michigan for another four years
  • Incoming Majority Leader Winnie Brinks and Speaker Joe Tate will lead Michigan Democrats in the state legislature
  • Michigan will send 7 Democrats to the U.S. House
  • The right to abortion and contraception are enshrined in Michigan’s constitution
  • Another amendment to the constitution was passed to make Michigan’s elections even more secure and accessible

In the end, democracy won in Michigan last week. Many of you are asking, “Now what?”

Our historic victories in Michigan didn’t happen overnight. These wins are the product of years of work and thousands of hours of time invested by people across the state of Michigan.

The answer is simple: We keep up our work.

The 2024 election has already begun and Michigan will be a battleground state, with a presidential and Senate race at the top of the ticket. Right now, our biggest threat is us. We have to choose between continuing our critical work or stepping back and letting others decide. I’m sure you know which choice I’m going to make.

Help Team MDP hit the ground running and fuel our critical work as we continue to invest in our powerful grassroots foundation in Michigan. Make a contribution of any amount here >>>
