You were one of tens of thousands of MoveOn members who joined us to save our democracy. We participated in vote tripling at polling places, contacted voters through phone banks, and got out the vote. Our hard work paid off! Democrats held the Senate, won races for governor and secretary of state, and defeated election deniers and MAGA Republicans in many close races. The “red wave” that the political pundits insisted was coming NEVER materialized, because voters like YOU turned out, with your friends and families, to rally for democracy.

But we are not done yet. The last two years proved the limits of a five–seat majority, and from controlling Senate committees to confirming judicial nominees, our shared agenda will be served better by winning the final Senate seat in play. We must rally together, one last time this midterm election, to reelect Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock. Our ability to move forward key pieces of legislation that will protect access to reproductive health care, protect Social Security and Medicare, combat climate change, and do so much more will depend on this race.

Rep. Crockett is a civil rights and criminal defense attorney and Texas state lawmaker who recently won her election race for a U.S. congressional seat. Joining her is Anna Beck to discuss the state of the Georgia runoff and the work ahead.

The voters have spoken. Republicans cannot attack our freedoms with no consequences. They tried, and we stopped them. Now we need to defeat one more: the sleazy businessman and abuser of women, Herschel Walker.

We have so much to debrief and discuss together, including what we can each do to make sure every vote is counted and that we do everything we can to win the Georgia Senate runoff.
