News and Updates THIS WEEK | The Path Ahead of Education in WI WILL's very own Director of Education Policy, Libby Sobic, is a panelist for a program called "So Now What? The Path Ahead for Education in Wisconsin and the Nation." The event will start at 8:20 AM in Eckstein Hall at the Marquette Law School. Sobic is representing education reform on this panel. She will be discussing the outcomes of this upcoming election cycle, explaining the declining test scores from pre-pandemic times, and addressing where the state of Wisconsin education now stands. See Details Here WILL Submits Comments to Occupational Licensing Study Committee Today, WILL's Policy Director, Kyle Koenen, and the Badger Institute jointly submitted comments on proposed legislation to the Legislative Council Study Committee on Occupational Licenses. The committee consists of legislators and public members and is tasked with making recommendations to reform Wisconsin’s occupational licensing system. Earlier this fall, WILL Deputy Counsel, Anthony LoCoco, and Koenen testified to the committee encouraging them to adopt important reforms that will improve Wisconsin’s workforce, including universal license recognition. Of the bills under consideration, WILL recommended five of them in their previous testimony. The committee will meet Tuesday, November 15th to discuss the potential legislation.
