It’s official — John, Democrats have kept control of the Senate!
And while we still are waiting to see if Democrats will keep control of the House as well, one thing is clear: in a year that pundits and pollsters predicted to be a blowout victory for right wing extremists — the exact opposite came true, where women, young people, and people of color turned out in droves to vote against Republican’s attacks on our democracy and bodily autonomy, and voted for a better future for us all.
But we can’t get complacent with just a 50 vote majority. Unless we flip one more seat in the Senate, our agenda will continue to be held hostage by the corporate wing of the party. With the Georgia Senate race set to go to a runoff, we have a huge opportunity to re-elect Raphael Warnock to the Senate by mobilizing our massive grassroots movement to win this seat, just like we did in 2021.
