Dear John,

I am incredibly humbled by the results of this election, and I wanted to reach out to thank you personally, John, for supporting me and believing in our campaign.

I am eternally grateful to you and every one of our grassroots supporters who made this historic victory possible. Every door knock, every endorsement, and every donation mattered. This win was only possible with your help.

The voters of San Mateo County and San Francisco have spoken, and from the looks of the returns, they have overwhelmingly chosen to send an experienced and proven progressive to Congress to carry on the powerful legacy of Jackie Speier.

You have my word that on Day One in Washington I will redouble my efforts to deliver on the issues that matter most.
