In 3 Days!

Starbucks Red Cup Day Rebellion

Nationwide STRIKE

This Thursday, Nov 17

Please RSVP

All hands on deck! 100 Starbucks stores representing thousands of workers are going on STRIKE this coming Thursday, November 17, on Starbucks’ “Red Cup Day”.  Red Cup Day is the single most profitable day of the year for Starbucks. On Red Cup Day, customers flood stores to get their red cup before they run out (Starbucks limits the number each store distributes), making it the busiest and most grueling day of the year for baristas.

In the face of chronic understaffing - to maximize profits - and the refusal of Starbucks to bargain in good faith - they try to run the clock out with endless delay tactics and finally, when all else fails, they walk out of bargaining sessions- the baristas have said Enough is Enough!

Here in Seattle a number of stores will be joining the strike wave (locations and times to be announced) and Starbucks workers have asked for our assistance supporting the strikes.  Seattle DSA will be standing shoulder to shoulder with them on the picket line.

That’s where YOU come in!  Please RSVP today to join a picket line! We’ll announce locations and times as soon as we get the information.

If you can’t join a picket line, you can still stand with Starbucks workers by donating to their PNW Starbucks Workers Relief Fund.  This fund supports baristas when they go on strike or face retaliation from Starbucks.  In 2021 Starbucks made an eye watering $4 billion in profits. They can afford stores being shut down by strikes but for workers who are facing rent and utilities, grocery bills, and gas because they can’t afford to live in the city they work, it's a serious risk and sacrifice.  But it's necessary to win a living wage and healthcare from the rapacity of Starbucks.

Stand shoulder to shoulder with Starbucks baristas, please donate $5, $10, or $20 to the PNW Starbucks Worker Relief Fund today,
