This story is still developing. In the final hours of 2019, the Science Advisory Board at the EPA released a scathing critique of the Trump administration's attempted rollbacks of environmental rules.

The board picked apart moves by the Trump administration that would shred protections governing pollution in waterways and emissions standards for cars. They also went after a proposal that would disallow the EPA from using vast swaths of legitimate scientific evidence in their policy making.

Friend — this is big. These proposals have far-reaching implications for the water we drink, the air we breathe, and for the fight against climate change.

Most importantly, they aren't final — yet. These scientists — the majority of whom were appointed by Trump — just tried to put up a roadblock to Trump's rollbacks. We need to stand for science and push to get these policies reversed — now, before it's too late.
