Federal Judge Declares Biden's Debt Relief Program Illegal

On Nov. 10, a federal judge in Texas declared President Joe Biden's student loan forgiveness program to be illegal. This ruling has prompted the Department of Education (DOE) to stop accepting applications for debt relief.

The DOJ immediately appealedĀ to the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, but the case will have to play out in full before the administration can offer any debt relief.Ā

French Senate Passes Law Requiring Solar Panels in All Large Parking Lots

The French Senate approved new legislation this week, requiring all parking lots with spaces for over 80 vehicles to be covered by solar panels.

Starting in July 2023, new and existing parking lots with between 80 to 400 spaces will have five years to comply with the new law. Parking lots with over 400 spaces have only three years.
