AIDE Conference — Registration Closes Thursday
Join us for the Applied Institute for Disaster Excellence (AIDE) Conference in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, from December 5, 2022 to December 9, 2022. AIDE is the only training created specifically for and run by the Catholic Charities network for disaster services. This hands-on training aims to increase the capacity of local agencies, dioceses and parishes in their provision of disaster preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation programming. Continuing Education Credits (CEC) for Social Work and Professional Counseling are available.

New CCUSA Innovation Challenge Announced
Sister Donna Markham OP, PhD, president and CEO of Catholic Charities USA, announced a new CCUSA Innovation Challenge during CCUSA’s recent Annual Gathering in Baltimore. With a total award of $2.5 million to nine agencies, the latest Challenge seeks to inspire member agencies within the Catholic Charities network to propose a fresh workforce development–specific solution toward alleviating or reducing poverty.
Proposals will be accepted in three categories based on agency size and must recommend new and innovative approaches rather than expand upon current programs. Applications are due Friday, February 10, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Catholic Charities USA is launching a new tool for all member agencies called the 'Social Enterprise Resource Map' or SERM. The map is a searchable database providing information by geography and sector on:
- Existing Catholic Charities social enterprises
- Relevant grant-makers and investors
- Trainers and technical assistance providers, such as incubators, accelerators and mentors.
The SERM is a dynamic tool that will be regularly updated to keep it relevant for new ideas and opportunities that may arise, for example, the newly announced Workforce Development Social Innovation Challenge. Following the webinar, the Map will be available through the member’s portal.
This webinar offers 1.0 Continuing Education Credit per session. For those interested in earning a CEC credit, participants will need to participate, live, in each session in its entirety and complete the evaluation/post-test questions. Register in advance for this webinar.
