On Wednesday, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) made headlines when he posted a comment on Twitter stating that he thought the idea of parents being in charge of their children's education was "stupid." The controversial statement comes in light of a sweeping movement across the nation of parents getting more involved in public education, particularly through running for and winning school board seats. |

Republicans Net 1-5 Seats from Redistricting |

Republicans may have controlled the redistricting process in more states following the 2020 census, but that hasn't translated into a huge increase of seats in Congress. An analysis by The Washington Stand reveals that Republicans will gain only 1-5 seats in Congress due to redistricting, even though they controlled the redistricting process in 19 states (with 184 seats in Congress), compared to eight states controlled by the Democrats (with 75 seats in Congress). |
