It’s a struggle that’s more important than ever with Netanyahu’s expected return to power in a new far-right government -- in a moment when annexation could well be back on the table and settlement expansion, demolitions and settler violence threaten not only Palestinian freedoms, but Israel’s own democratic future.
While the election results this past Tuesday were better than many of us anticipated, this was only the latest round in the larger battle for democracy in the US, Israel and around the world.
Together, we must rally all our strength to push our elected leaders to promote peace, justice and human rights -- and to stand up to those who threaten them.
